This month’s blog post is all about our Blue Period! In recent years, we here at Celtic Interiors have seen the popularity of blue kitchens grow and grow, with no signs of slowing down.

Blue is popular for many reasons.  It is a calming and comforting colour, which helps create the perfect creative space for cooking enthusiasts. Blue can add a much needed pop of colour, by making the visual impact desired by the client, without being too in-your-face.  There are shades of blue to work with any neutral you may want to pair it with, from clean whites, to warm creams, to chic greys.  This means those of you who are afraid to commit to a full room, can add blue without fear eg. why not try a blue island?  In fact, there is a huge variety of blues to suit all tastes – you can have anything from soft pale hues to dramatic navy blues.

Celtic Interiors have a variety of blues in our current colour collection.  These range from the understated Hudson to the bright and bold Hummingbird to the deep and dramatic Harvard with quite a few in between.  Arguably our biggest statement kitchen in our showroom is the Peacock Blue Budapest display.  This particular blue seems to strike a chord with our clients, as this is currently our most popular blue hue.

So if you are looking for a design that won’t leave you feeling blue, why not make an appointment with one of our design team here at Celtic Interiors? Or even pop into our Douglas showroom and see the Budapest along with a host of other design ideas!
